competitions at the
European Curlew Fieldworker Workshop
at Lancaster University for the best reproductions of the songs of European curlew and also the slender-billed curlew, which was sadly recently
declared extinct.

Planet Birdsong's recordists at Kitabi Bird Club in Rwanda received a Macaulay Library Field Grant of $1500 USD
to contribute recordings to Cornell Lab of Ornithology's
Big Year of African Sound
in which Planet Birdsong is a partner.
